The Evergreen contractor picture

Our Colorado records put 262 contractors and tradespeople in Evergreen, most of them in ZIP 80439, which places the city 42nd statewide, with ZIP 80439 home to the largest share. Only 42% have an active license today, against 54% statewide, so check the expiry date on every profile you open.

Municipal licensing fills the gap left by the state: Evergreen contractors show up 34 times on the Arvada (20), Aurora (11) and Thornton (3) lists, with 3 roofing licenses, 4 general contractor licenses and 1 HVAC/mechanical license. By trade, the DORA records give Evergreen 174 electrical licenses (31 masters, 68 journeymen, 15 residential wiremen) plus 79 plumbing licenses (20 masters, 27 journeymen).

Companies are a minority: 19 active electrical contractor and 12 active plumbing contractor registrations, against 170 individual tradespeople. Board discipline: 7 Evergreen records have a DORA discipline flag (6 electrical, 1 plumbing). 3 belong to licenses that are still active, so a current license alone doesn't rule out past discipline.

Experience runs deep: half of the licensed pros here were first licensed in 1996 or earlier, and 24 active licenses date from before 2000. 13 are new since 2024. We matched 9 Evergreen companies to Colorado Secretary of State filings: 4 in good standing and 5 delinquent or dissolved. A dissolved entity can't back a warranty, so check the status before you sign. The busiest ZIP codes are 80439 (229), 80437 (32), 80433 (1), and 3 ZIPs are represented in total.

Storm season in Evergreen

Per the RMIIA, Colorado's Front Range gets the highest frequency of large hail in North America, with three or four storms a year causing at least $25 million in insured damage. Eight of the twelve costliest Colorado hailstorms on RMIIA's list were centered on the Denver metro, led by the May 8, 2017 storm at $2.3 billion in insured losses. If a roofer knocks on your door after hail, two state rules apply: you can rescind an insurance-funded roofing contract within 72 hours of a written denial (C.R.S. 6-22-104), and promising to cover your deductible is illegal (C.R.S. 6-22-105).
